Personalized books - unique gifts for children on any occasion

Finding that perfect gift for a special child in your life isn't always easy. Each child has his or her own interests. One gift that's sure to thrill any child is a personalized book. Personalized books enable the child to see his or her own name in print. Children are excited when they realize that they are the stars of the book that they are reading.

Personalized Books for Boys

If buying a gift for a boy, a superhero book is a great way to spark his reading interests. He can imagine that he's "saving the world" with his favorite superhero while reading the book. Or, he can go camping on a mountainous adventure as a bear with his bear family. He can help save a circus train, or participate in fun Mother Goose rhymes!

Personalized Books for Girls

Little girls also love reading children's books before bedtime or during playtime. With their personalized book, they can become a ballerina princess or join a tea party with friends while learning about good table manners. Girls also enjoy sticker books where they can interact and learn as they read.

Gift Occasions

Personalized books can be given to children at almost any occasion. At birth, these make great baby books. They are perfect gifts for kindergarten graduation ceremonies, Christmas, birthdays, and any other occasion. Personalized books are also wonderful keepsakes. Whether it's your grandchild, daughter, son, niece, or nephew, a book with their own name is sure to win their heart.

Encourage Reading

Personalized books not only make great gifts, they provide a great way for you to encourage your "little loved one" to read. Some children naturally love to read, but others need incentive. What better way to create a desire to read than placing the child in the actual story? They will want to read the story when they are the main character. Personalized books help to build self-esteem. They give the child a sense of pride knowing that he or she can be the hero or he or she can be the problem solver.

Shopping for Personalized Books

One of the easiest ways to find high-quality personalized books at great prices is to shop online. You can search for the type of book you want and order it from your own personal computer. Some websites might allow you to ship the book as a gift directly to the recipient. What a surprise when the child receives a package in the mail with his or her name on it "and" a book where he or she is the star.

While shopping for personalized books, you can also grab other great gifts for your loved ones of all ages. Online you'll also find baby books, retirement books, inspirational books, holiday books, and other unique gifts to fit all occasions.

Shop nicely and save money

:
Each day, from telemarketers to mail order catalogs and commercials we get read and hear these wonderful words such as clearance sales, zero interest payments and discount coupons. All geared to stop us from saving and makes us to spend on items that we really don’t need.

How can you spend wisely and have more savings. You should teach yourself to be a disciplined and intelligent buyer whereby you can accumulate savings instead of credit card debts.

1. You should ask yourself that is this item something I can’t do without?
2. Do I have something at home similar to this which I can use instead?
3. How long I need to work to pay for this?
4. Do I just want this or really need this?

These are some simple every day strategies that can help you in saving. When you buy on sale you save more so ask the store when the item will be on sale. Schedule your purchase of items during the time when the store has annual sales. This will generate you a saving of as much as 60% off the regular prices.

You should cut out discount coupons and use them which will give you as much as 20% savings. When there is a sale on staples that are consumed easily such as pasta, stockpile on such items. You will have more savings if you take the advantage of rebates and use the rebates given. You can use a frequency shopper card as this entitles you to rebates, freebies and discounts. Always prepare a shopping list before you buy or make duplicate purchases.

Remember the phrase “A penny saved is a penny earned” and follow this that will give you added savings.

Tips to cut your cleaning time

According to a recent survey by home cleaning experts, over half of Americans admit that they feel a sense of accomplishment after cleaning their homes-even though they don't necessarily like having to houseclean. The good news is cleaning doesn't have to be laborious or take loads of time.

"My advice to people is 'clean smarter, not harder,'" says Laura Dellutri, author of "Speed Cleaning 101." "By following a few simple tips, you can properly clean your home in less time, thereby freeing you up to do the things you'd rather be doing."

Here are a few speed-cleaning tips from Dellutri:

Keep dirt and grime from accumulating. Did you know that 85 percent of all dirt that comes into the home is on the bottom of shoes? By placing mats at the entrance of your home so people can wipe their shoes, you'll reduce the amount of dirt coming in-and the amount you'll have to clean later.

Have all of your cleaning supplies nearby while cleaning. This will shave time off your cleaning routine, because you won't have to stop to retrieve missing tools or products. A cleaning caddy, five-gallon pail, cleaning apron or laundry basket can all be used to transport cleaning supplies from room to room (and they make great storage containers). Carry a few damp cloths (which can be used to clean 90 percent of the surfaces in your home) over your shoulder to save time running back and forth to the sink. Hang smaller cleaning supplies from your belt or the vacuum, or put them in your pockets.

Look for products with "two-in-one" benefits. For example, glass cleaner with disinfectant can be used on a variety of surfaces, thereby eliminating the need for multiple spray cans (and the time to fumble for them). The O-Cedar Power Corner Plus with Scuff Eraser is a great two-in-one cleaning tool, because its 25,000 bristle tips pick up dust and debris quickly, while the built-in scuff eraser eliminates the need to bend down and remove unsightly marks.

Clean from top to bottom. Dust and dirt fall to the floor while you clean, so start at the top to avoid having to reclean lower areas twice. For the same reason, always dust first and vacuum last.

Don't clean what's already clean. You can shave hours off your routine by cleaning only the dirty areas of furniture, fixtures or appliances, and shining the rest of it with a slightly damp cloth.

Get the whole family involved. Assign everyone in the family a particular cleaning chore (for example, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, sweeping) and have each person complete his or her task in each room of the home. When everyone helps in an orga-nized fashion, the house can be cleaned in practically no time.

Two-in-one cleaning products save you time when cleaning.

Back to school textbook savings

:
If you are sending your adult children off to college you know that there are three school related expenses which make up the bulk of your budget: tuition, room and board, and textbooks. The first two expenses are mostly fixed and predictable costs, while the third is impossible to predict as well as a potential budget buster. You may not be able to predict textbook expenses, but you certainly can reduce them by following these three important steps:

1. Shop Online. Your college bookstore has an ironclad grip on textbook inventory, right? Well, at one time that was a true statement. Today, thanks to the internet, websites have sprung up that sell new and used textbooks at prices much lower than those found on campus. Shop with those retailers who have clearly outlined payment, shipping and handling, and return policies. Scan auction sites too for additional savings.

2. Shop Retail. The big bookstore retailers as well as some of the office supply stores carry some titles. At the very least your student can purchase all of his or her supplies off campus, saving you big money in the process.

3. Shop Used. Your campus bookstore knows that having used textbooks on hand will keep them somewhat competitive. The trick with textbook publishers is that yearly updates can make used copies obsolete: planned obsolescence in action! Still, when I was in school I had one professor who encouraged students to pick up the “outdated” copies of one book since he knew the cost was outrageous and he planned on referencing it sparingly. Your student may also learn that some of the titles on the professor's list are optional, not mandatory purchases.

Students today no longer have to feel as if they are being “held hostage” by outrageous textbook prices. Have your student shop wisely and your budget will remain on track.

How can you save money on your grocery bill

I work part-time at a widely known drugstore. I wanted to do an experiment and I asked my manager for his help.

We picked a week randomly from his log. We added up the sales from the cosmetic counter and the first register. That way we could get varied items including personal care, cleaning items and food. We took the totals from items that were only cleaning and personal care products. The average order turned out to be 25.00 for that week.

Now I would like to address an issue I have heard from others that requested information about switching stores for better safer products but said they couldn’t spend $50-$60 a month.

I know for a fact, ( I see the same people on the days I work) that these customers come in every week spending an average of $25 dollars a visit. Now if you changed your store and purchased similar items for 30%-40% off, you would be saving money.

So let’s get the money facts.

Say you spend 20.00 a week on average for personal care, cleaning products of all kinds and some nutritious snacks. This is being very frugal. 20.00 times 4 weeks is 80.00.

Take that 80.00, put it aside and switch stores. Purchase only the items you need and you will have an extra $20-$25 at the end of the month. Now times that $20-$25 by 12 (a year) and you will be saving $240.00 - $300.00 a year. Wow that’s a good amount of money.

Now wonder if you got paid to refer others like a restaurant or book. Say you refer 8 friends and family and you do this in a month. Now you are earning almost $500.00 for that month and saving an average of $270.00 a year. Add those two figures and you now have an extra $770.00.

Let’s look at a bigger picture. Say you help 8 every month for a year. It’s 6,000.00 for helping others, then 13,200.00 in bonuses and 7600.00 in residual income equaling 26,800.00. That is not including others helping others. That could add another 26,800.00 making the total 53,600.00 in part-time work, not to mention a $400.00 car payment every month.

So now you can see the advantage of residual income and the idea of saving money and helping others. It is very simple and easy. Email me and I can show you how you can start today.

That's just the money side. I can show you how our everyday household products can help clean your home environment. I can show you how they can help you and your family have healthier lives. Email me for more information.
